About The Position

GreenStone is seeking an Application Developer to join our Information Services team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to contribute to the design, development, and support of enterprise applications that power our business. You will serve as a technical specialist across application development, database development, application security, and system support. Senior-level candidates will additionally provide leadership in design standards, code reviews, and team coordination. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of software development experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of version control systems
  • Operating Systems: Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments

  • Development: VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET
  • Web: IIS, .NET, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Database: SQL Server, stored procedures, complex SQL, SSIS

Responsibilities

  • Create technical design artifacts to guide custom application development.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for project tasks and deliverables.
  • Use version control tools for check-in/out, branching, merging, and tracking changes.
  • Adhere to GreenStone’s coding, database, deployment, web service, and architecture standards.
  • Perform full lifecycle development activities including algorithm design, coding, compiling, debugging, packaging, and deployment.
  • Conduct unit testing to validate functionality and ensure alignment with requirements and standards.
  • Follow departmental SOPs, including SDLC and case usage processes.
  • Report personal task status independently and during project meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members as needed.
  • Track and understand project progress and dependencies.
  • Participate in software release activities including planning, installation, and on-call support.
  • Provide second-level support for troubleshooting incidents.
  • Execute recurring operational tasks such as data imports, script execution, and utility runs.
  • Deliver positive, professional customer service interactions.
