The Department of Revenue, PFD Division is recruiting for an Application Developer 1/2 in either Anchorage or Juneau. This position is open to Alaska Residents only. The role involves developing, testing, debugging, and enhancing PFD applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC with C#, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps/Visual Studio. The developer will collaborate with analysts, technicians, and fellow developers to create secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. This position supports modernization projects, replacing legacy applications and building new cloud-ready systems. The ideal candidate will work in a team-focused environment, excelling at problem-solving, communication, and adapting to new technologies. There will be opportunities to work with Azure Resources, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, and other cloud-native tools as the division transitions to new technologies. A strong preference is given to candidates with immediate contribution capabilities using the .NET stack, relational databases, and web technologies like React, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, CSS, and HTML. The Permanent Fund Dividend Division's mission is to administer the dividend program, ensuring eligible Alaskans receive timely dividends, fraud is prosecuted, and all stakeholders are treated with respect. The agency is expanding and improving PFD services, aiming to offer the best and most professional service using new and exciting technologies.
