About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring an Apparel Processor in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The role supports store operations by sorting, hanging, and tagging donated apparel and domestics while maintaining quality standards for soft-line departments. The processor also upholds customer service standards by greeting and thanking customers and donors in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Requirements

• Good people skills.
• Ability to identify different shades and tones of color.
• Background check required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay knowledgeable about brand names, current and vintage items, fashion trends, and price points for apparel and domestic categories.
• Sort apparel into salable and salvage categories and check quality for tears, stains, wetness, odors, soil, broken zippers, and missing buttons; items must be flaw-free.
• Hang and tag quality donations quickly according to agency standards while meeting or exceeding individual production targets.
• Keep the processing area neat and clean and leave the station ready for the next shift.
• Embody DGR (Donated Goods Retail) MODE Guiding Principles.
• Follow agency safety policies and guidelines and actively work with supervisors and team members to address identified safety concerns.
• Greet and thank customers and donors according to agency policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
