About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring an Apparel Processor in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The role processes donated apparel and domestic goods by sorting, checking, hanging, and tagging items for the store’s soft-line departments. The processor helps maintain quality standards and production targets, keeps the processing area clean and ready for the next shift, and follows agency customer-service and safety policies. The position pays $13.40 per hour and is listed as full-time/part-time.
Requirements
- Good people skills.
- Ability to identify different shades and tones of color.
- Background check required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Stay knowledgeable about brand names, current and vintage items, fashion trends, and price points for apparel and domestic categories.
- Sort apparel into salable and salvage categories.
- Inspect items for tears, stains, wetness, odors, soil, broken zippers, and missing buttons; items must be flaw-free.
- Hang and tag quality donations quickly according to agency standards while meeting or exceeding individual production targets.
- Keep the processing area neat and clean and leave the station ready for the next shift.
- Embody DGR (Donated Goods Retail) MODE Guiding Principles.
- Follow agency safety policies and guidelines.
- Participate with supervisors and team members in addressing identified safety concerns.
- Greet and thank customers and donors according to agency policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
