About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring an Apparel Processor in Strongsville, Ohio. The role helps keep stores stocked by sorting, hanging, and tagging donated apparel and domestics while ensuring soft-line quality standards. The employee also upholds customer service standards by greeting and thanking customers and donors in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Requirements

• Good people skills.
• Ability to identify different shades and tones of color.
• Background check required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay knowledgeable about brand names, current and vintage items, fashion trends, and price points for apparel and domestic categories.
• Sort apparel into salable and salvage categories and check items for tears, stains, wetness, odors, soil, broken zippers, and missing buttons; items must be flaw-free.
• Hang and tag quality donations quickly according to agency standards while meeting or exceeding individual production targets.
• Keep the processing area neat and clean and leave the station ready for the next shift.
• Embody DGR (Donated Goods Retail) MODE Guiding Principles.
• Follow agency safety policies and guidelines and work with supervisors and team members to address identified safety concerns.
• Greet and thank customers and donors according to agency policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
