About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring an Apparel Processor in Mentor, Ohio. The role helps keep stores stocked with quality merchandise by sorting, hanging, and tagging donated apparel and domestics while meeting soft-line department quality standards. The employee also upholds customer-service standards when greeting and thanking customers and donors, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Good people skills.
• Ability to identify different shades and tones of color.
• Background check required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay knowledgeable about brand names, current and vintage items, fashion trends, and price points for apparel and domestic categories.
• Sort apparel into salable and salvage categories and inspect items for tears, stains, wetness, odors, soil, broken zippers, and missing buttons; items must be flaw-free.
• Hang and tag quality donations promptly according to agency standards while meeting or exceeding individual production targets.
• Keep the processing area neat and clean and ensure the station is ready for the next shift.
• Embody DGR (Donated Goods Retail) MODE Guiding Principles.
• Follow agency safety policies and guidelines and participate with supervisors and team members in addressing identified safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Greet and thank customers and donors according to agency policies and procedures.
