About The Position

HMT is a global provider of aboveground storage tank solutions, partnering with customers to optimize tank operations. The company is seeking an API 653 certified Inspector to perform inspections in accordance with API standards and the customer’s scope of work, following HMT’s internal processes and procedures. The role also involves maintaining positive relationships with clients, facilities, and customers; interpreting applicable regulations, codes, and industry standards; and ensuring compliance with HMT safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must hold API certification and have API inspection work experience.
• Must be technically competent and knowledgeable in applying current inspection codes.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces, such as tanks and silos.
• Ability to communicate effectively and make sound decisions.

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• TWIC Card.
• Current AOCF and/or PMT III (DOT OQ).
• Current respirator fit test.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 training.
• JLG lift operator certification, subject to possible approval by HMT Safety Department.
• Current safety training within the last 12 months, including but not limited to confined space, fall protection, LOTO, and HazCom.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive relationship between the client, facility, and customer.
• Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Ensure that HMT safety policies and procedures are followed.
