About The Position

Braun Intertec is hiring an API Inspection Technician to join its Bloomington, Minnesota team. The technician performs API 510 and 570 inspections, organizes ultrasonic thickness testing (UTT) personnel, and creates inspection plans. The role may also involve nondestructive examination (NDE) inspections on assigned field or laboratory projects. The technician works independently as a crew lead at job sites and prepares accurate, timely reports and other work documents while following safe work practices.

Requirements

• API 510 and API 570 certification, or some combination of API certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education or formal training in nondestructive testing.
• Familiarity with NDT equipment.
• Experience with NDT methods and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Ability to work off ladders and scaffolding.
• Strong work ethic; self-starter; strong client focus; seller and doer; punctuality; excellent verbal and written communication; exceptional safety and quality awareness; mechanical aptitude; attention to detail; teamwork; and willingness to follow processes and procedures.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments and work long hours.

Nice To Haves

• API 653 certification.
• CWI certification.
• ASNT-TC-1A Level II certification in NDE methods, including RT, MT, PT, UT, or VT, or a combination of these methods.

Responsibilities
