About The Position

Tribute Companies is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for Willow Glen Apartments in Wilmington, North Carolina. The technician helps keep the community operating smoothly by performing daily and preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing issues, maintaining apartments and common areas, and preparing apartment homes for move-in. The role supports a safe, attractive, and well-functioning property and requires working in a fast-paced environment. Paid in-person maintenance onboarding training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, with required participation in an on-call duty rotation. Pay is $20 to $23 per hour, with the base rate varying according to education, experience, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in general maintenance.
Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Own and know how to use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

HVAC/EPA certification.

Responsibilities

Perform daily maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general property upkeep.
Diagnose and efficiently resolve maintenance requests.
Maintain apartments and common areas in excellent condition.
Complete apartment turns to prepare homes for new residents.
Conduct preventive maintenance to help maintain a safe, attractive, and well-functioning property.
Participate in the required on-call duty rotation.
