About The Position
Vie Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their student housing community in Austin, Texas. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the community by addressing resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and handling various repairs.
Requirements
- EPA HVAC Certification (Universal Certification is a plus, but not required)
- Experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems
- 2+ years of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications to manage work orders, inspections, and daily maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems (based on experience and certification level)
- Prepare apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready work
- Repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance issues
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and amenities
- Maintain accurate work orders using smartphones, tablets, and mobile maintenance applications
- Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs
- Work closely with the property management team to deliver an outstanding resident experience
