Requirements

  • Prior experience as a porter, groundskeeper, janitor, or maintenance assistant preferred.
  • Strong job tenure and a track record of reliability and attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in doing quality work.
  • Physically able to walk the property, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to learn basic maintenance skills and grow within the role.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the apartment community, including walkways, parking areas, common spaces, and amenities.
  • Pick up litter, sweep, blow, and pressure wash as needed.
  • Empty trash receptacles and assist with dumpster area upkeep.
  • Monitor the community daily and report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Assist the maintenance team with basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing signage, and minor repairs.
  • Help prepare apartments for move-ins, including basic cleaning and trash removal.
  • Support seasonal projects and community upkeep initiatives.
  • Provide friendly, professional interactions with residents and vendors.
  • Represent the property well as a visible part of the community.
