Apartment Groundskeeper - Emory Point #1
About The Position
AIR Communities is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team at the Emory Point apartment community in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for someone who values consistency, enjoys working outdoors, and is looking for a long-term position with a company that promotes from within. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the apartment community, including walkways, parking areas, common spaces, and amenities. This role also provides light maintenance support and interacts with residents and vendors.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a porter, groundskeeper, janitor, or maintenance assistant preferred
- Strong job tenure and a track record of reliability and attendance
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing quality work
- Physically able to walk the property, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn basic maintenance skills and grow within the role
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the apartment community, including walkways, parking areas, common spaces, and amenities
- Pick up litter, sweep, blow, and pressure wash as needed
- Empty trash receptacles and assist with dumpster area upkeep
- Monitor the community daily and report maintenance or safety issues
- Assist the maintenance team with basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing signage, and minor repairs
- Help prepare apartments for move-ins, including basic cleaning and trash removal
- Support seasonal projects and community upkeep initiatives
- Work closely with the on-site maintenance and management teams
- Provide friendly, professional interactions with residents and vendors
- Take pride in being a visible part of the community and representing the property well
