About The Position

A growing, multi-location automotive dealership group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its centralized accounting team. This role plays a key part in supporting dealership operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions for an assigned location. This is a high-volume, full-cycle AP role where you will take ownership of the entire payables process for one dealership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of accounts payable experience in an automotive dealership environment (strongly preferred)
Experience handling full-cycle AP responsibilities
Ability to manage high-volume workloads in a deadline-driven setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

Experience with dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounts payable for an assigned dealership location
Review, code, and process vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
Obtain proper approvals and ensure compliance with internal controls
Process payments including check runs and electronic payments (EFT/ACH)
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice and payment issues
Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting support
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Follow established daily, weekly, and monthly processes
