This role supports the AP Fellowship Program Director in the administration, management, organization, evaluation, teaching, supervision, precepting, and scholarship of the fellowship program. The Assistant Program Director is responsible for supporting the delivery of an engaging learning curriculum, policies, and procedures, and for establishing the strategic direction of the program. This position ensures the program meets all state, federal, and other regulations and guidelines, and is responsible for the standards, quality, and reputation of the program. The role involves overseeing Program Coordinators, developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow, and assisting the Program Director with hospital responsibilities. Key duties include actively participating in the recruitment and selection of new fellows, reviewing fellow progress through evaluations, mentoring and coaching fellows, and administering an educational environment conducive to learning. The Assistant Program Director will also support the evaluation of fellows using competency-based methods and direct observation.
