About The Position

C2 Education is hiring a part-time AP English Tutor to provide high-quality instruction in accordance with the company’s curriculum and educational philosophy. The tutor fosters a positive learning environment and supports students’ academic growth and development. The role requires the ability to tutor in person and is based in Cupertino–San Jose, California.

Sessions take place after school and are typically scheduled Monday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; schedules may vary by location. The position pays $24.00–$30.00 per hour, with negligible travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Score at the 95th percentile on C2 Education’s diagnostic SAT, AP, or ACT test.
• Ability to tutor in person.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum and learning goals.
• Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive and enriching learning environment.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about student progress and concerns.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
• Adhere to C2 Educational Systems Inc. policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties relevant to the position and students’ needs, as assigned.
