About The Position

Love Justice International (LJI) is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to combating human trafficking by disrupting it in transit. They seek mission-driven problem-solvers who are passionate about fighting injustice and sharing Christ's love. This role is described as a calling rather than just a job, demanding sacrifice, boldness, and faith. LJI operates as an 'Impact Engineering' organization, using scientific and business principles alongside local insights to intercept potential trafficking victims efficiently. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by combating injustice and expressing the transformative love of Christ within a purpose-driven team committed to excellence. The position is a full-time, one-year fellowship program based in Ballito, South Africa, with regular travel to LJI's programs worldwide.

Requirements

• Mature Christian faith and agreement with LJI's Global Value to 'Abide in Christ'.
• Knowledge, understanding, and agreement with how the Christian Gospel ministers to 'the least of these' (Matthew 25:40) and guides the mission.
• Agreement with LJI's Core Value 'Be the Kingdom' in mission execution and personal conduct.
• Acknowledgment of LJI's Statement of Faith.
• Passion for justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a field relevant to the position or a related field.
• Significant experience in a relevant field, including business, finance, accounting, legal, data analysis, security, human resources, and human assessments.
• Ability to work well in cross-cultural contexts and sensitivity to different cultures.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; basic quantitative reasoning skills.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to adapt to changing and challenging circumstances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and particularly with Google Sheets.
• Ability to work well within a group setting and maintain a positive outlook while working within challenging circumstances.
• Willing and able to travel approximately one week every six weeks.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn to use AI tools to improve work and owned processes.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working cross-culturally preferred.
• Familiarity with working with complex spreadsheets preferred.
• Proficiency in one of the following languages preferred, but not required, in addition to English: Spanish, French, Portuguese, and/or Swahili.
• Existing experience with AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install necessary core processes in collaboration with LJI core process Leads and Regional Stewards, potentially through video calls, emails, or in-person travel.
• Track compliance with assigned core processes after installation, providing follow-up training and ensuring national partners understand requirements.
• Assist in new anti-trafficking pilot project ideas, with consideration given to individual passions, skills, and expertise.
• Potentially develop expertise in core processes and take on increased responsibility, such as becoming an Implementation Manager or core process Lead.
• Build and maintain a team of financial supporters through regular communication and updates.
• Conduct work within a Christian culture that emulates Christ, with a focus on faith, prayer, and obedience.
