About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for their Bow Wow Bungalow location. This role involves hands-on care for pets, ensuring their comfort, safety, and cleanliness. Destination Pet offers a range of services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services, aiming to make pets feel at home and their owners at ease.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required if eager to learn.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty (literally).

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and waste of every pet guest.
• Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime and games like fetch.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
