About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for Wescott Acres Luxury Pet Resort. This role involves hands-on care for animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The company emphasizes a team-oriented environment focused on elevating the lives of pet families through various services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. The goal is to make pets feel at home and their owners feel at ease.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but if you're brand new and eager to learn—we want to meet you!
- A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
- A willingness to get your hands dirty (literally).

Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving up meals and fresh water.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of every pet guest.
- Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
- Supervising playtime.
- Assisting with brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and belongings.
- Making tails wag.
- Other duties as assigned.
