About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at the Atlanta Pet Resort Dunwoody. This role is for individuals passionate about animals who want to turn their love for pets into a rewarding job. Destination Pet is a community focused on elevating the lives of pet families, offering services such as day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. The goal is to make pets feel at home and their owners feel at ease.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required if eager to learn.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty (literally).

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and "poop" of every pet guest.
• Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime and fetch.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
