About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for their Pet Palace Pittsburgh location. This role involves providing care for pets, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean environment. Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and pet "accidents" is expected.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year prior kennel or animal care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of each pet guest.
- Reporting any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
- Supervising playtime and activities.
- Assisting with brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and pet belongings.
- Making tails wag.
- Other duties as assigned.
