About The Position
The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), a leading animal welfare organization, is seeking a part-time Animal Care Associate for its Boston location. The role focuses on providing direct care to animals, assisting with adoptions and surrenders, and maintaining a clean shelter environment. ARL is known for its innovative programs that address the root causes of animal welfare issues and aims to keep pets and people together.
Requirements
- Mission-driven and interested in working with animals
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00am to 6:30pm
Responsibilities
- Care for the animal population of our Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center by providing food, water, exercise, enrichment, medication, and grooming
- Clean and disinfect kennels and other shelter areas
- Guide clients through the adoption process and surrender process with kindness and compassion
- Help ensure ARL continues to provide the best care for animals in need
