About The Position
The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), a leading animal welfare organization, is seeking a full-time Animal Care Associate for its Boston location. ARL, founded in 1899, is dedicated to animal welfare through innovative programs that address the root causes of issues facing animals and their owners, aiming to help animals heal and thrive, keep pets and people together, and protect animals from harm.
Requirements
- Mission-driven and interested in working with animals
- Ability to provide food, water, exercise, enrichment, medication, and grooming for animals
- Ability to clean and disinfect kennels and other shelter areas
- Ability to guide clients through the adoption and surrender process with kindness and compassion
Responsibilities
- Care for the animal population of our Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center by providing food, water, exercise, enrichment, medication, and grooming
- Clean and disinfect kennels and other shelter areas
- Guide clients through the adoption process and surrender process with kindness and compassion
- Help ensure ARL continues to provide the best care for animals in need
