About The Position

Responsible for the daily operations of the Animal Adoption Center. The coordinator facilitates adoptions by actively reaching out to the public and counseling potential adopters on choosing a pet that fits their lifestyle and understanding the responsibilities of pet ownership. The role involves showing animals to prospective adopters during shelter hours, providing information about specific animals, answering questions, explaining the adoption process to shelter visitors, processing online and in-person adoption applications, and reviewing, selecting, and contacting new applicants for potential adoption.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of related animal care experience or training.
• Experience in a public animal services facility.
• Associate degree in Animal Care and Management Technology.
