About The Position
This position is responsible for managing the Angel Tree Program. The coordinator recruits, trains, and coordinates the work of volunteers to ensure adequate staffing for the Christmas program needs. They also prepare records and reports for the Christmas program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years experience working in an office environment
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Manages the Angel Tree Program
- Recruits, trains, and coordinates the work of volunteers
- Ensures adequate volunteer staffing for Christmas program needs
- Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program
- Interviews, recruits, screens, and selects volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program
- Posts listings of volunteers at Malls to ensure staffing at all times
- Maintains a current book of volunteer names at the Christmas Distribution Center
- Recruits volunteers if time slots are not filled, using previous year's lists
- Finds replacement volunteers when needed
- Maintains statistics, placement, and follow-up for all Angels at all locations
- Assists with an Appreciation Program for employees and volunteers
- Contacts Corporate Sponsors regarding angel requirements and prepares materials for delivery
