About The Position
This position is responsible for managing the Angel Tree Program, recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to ensure adequate staffing for Christmas program needs. The role also involves preparing records and reports for the Christmas program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years experience working in an office environment or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
- Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, typewriter, and computer
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering phones or speaking in person to clients requiring assistance.
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of effective and efficient record keeping.
- Knowledge of the English language.
- Ability to maintain an efficient and organized filing system to ensure that items can be retrieved in a timely manner.
- Ability to answer the telephone in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the work.
- Ability to follow instructions, plan and organize work, and work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities
- Manages the Angel Tree Program.
- Recruits, trains, and coordinates the work of volunteers ensuring ample staff to meet Christmas program needs.
- Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program.
- Interviews, recruits, screens and selects volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program.
- Maintains names of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center in a book to be kept current at all times.
- Maintains the statistics, placement and follow-up for all Angels at all locations.
- Contacts Corporate Sponsors on the number of angels they require, preparing materials and angels for delivery.
- Provides accurate and complete information about Christmas Programs.
