About The Position

Academic Excellence: Join Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University. Collaborative Practice: Work with a team of 13 physicians and 25 CRNAs in a supportive medical direction model with opportunities for solo cases. Diverse & High-Quality Care: Provide full-spectrum anesthesia services to a diverse patient population with a strong focus on safety and quality (staffing ratios 1:2 / 1:3). Work-Life Balance: Manage a reasonable call schedule (3–4 per month) with post-call day off and nocturnist support to limit overnight shifts. Teaching & Growth: Opportunities to teach SRNAs, medical students, and residents, with access to mentoring and leadership development. Flexible Locations: Practice across Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill, and Little Falls, with flexibility for anesthesiologists living in Albany, Binghamton, Utica, or Syracuse. Requirements

  • Board certified/eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Completion of an Anesthesiology Residency
  • New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting.

Responsibilities
