About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking Ambulatory and Regional Anesthesiologists to join our growing program in Minneapolis, MN. We seek individuals with substantive experience in Ambulatory and Regional Anesthesia. Practice Overview: Practice alongside more than 60 Anesthesiologists. Practice at two academic ambulatory surgery centers located in Minneapolis and Maple Grove as part of a dedicated team for ambulatory anesthesia and providing anesthesia for orthopedics, plastics, ENT, general, ophthalmology, GI, gynecology, urology, and pediatrics (6 months and older). Provide regional anesthesia for appropriate surgical cases including upper extremity, lower extremity and truncal single shot ultrasound guided regional blocks. Engage in teaching opportunities with residents and fellows, including regional and acute pain fellows. Enjoy protected academic time to pursue educational, quality, service, or research interests. Requirements

  • Substantive regional and ambulatory anesthesia experience including healthy pediatric patients
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency and Regional Anesthesiology fellowship training program
  • Board certified or eligible with the ABA
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
  • Ability to work in the United States, with compliance to visa requirements, if applicable
