About The Position
Provide patient care and support during MAC anesthesia. The Anesthesiologist works with the staff CRNAs and Gastroenterologist to provide all elements of a safe endoscopy procedure. This role includes providing anesthesia care for pediatric patients; therefore, we are seeking an Anesthesiologist with demonstrated pediatric experience and a passion for delivering high-quality care to children. This Anesthesiologist is expected to be able to work at all MNGI Endoscopy Centers and primary work locations will be the NE Minneapolis and Coon Rapids locations.
Requirements
- Board Certified Anesthesiologist
- Complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning license
- Holds current certification for life support
- Knowledge of Gastrointestinal system
- Knowledge of Principles for providing compassionate care
- Knowledge of Infection control practices
- Knowledge of Emergency response
- Knowledge of Word processing
- Strong Assessment Skills
- Ability to Problem Solve
- Ability to Multitask
- Ability to Prioritize and be detail oriented
- Ability to Work effectively individually as well as a part of a team
- Ability to Use active listening skills
- Ability to Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Responsibilities
- Review patient history in pre-procedure setting in order to determine optimal course of action.
- During procedure, administer anesthesia and manage the patient’s reactions accordingly.
