About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist position in Portsmouth, OH, covering inpatient and outpatient surgical cases. The coverage period is from June 1, 2026, to July 3, 2026, with a Monday to Friday, 7a - 3:30p shift schedule. This role is for supplemental coverage and will involve providing anesthesia services to both pediatric and adult patients. The agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.

Requirements

Board Certified (BC) required
Licensed in OH
Experience with spinal, epidural, & regional anesthesia
Experience with OB anesthesia cases
Experience with open heart, thoracic, vascular, & complex orthopedic cases
Experience with post-op epidurals & extremity blocks
Experience with lumbar/cervical epidural steroid & transforaminal injections
Experience with X-ray/fluoroscopic-guided blocks
Experience with ventilation, acute volume/BP management
Experience with central, arterial, & PA catheter placement
Experience with CRNA supervision

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for inpatient and outpatient surgical cases.
Perform pre-operative evaluations and manage ventilation and hemodynamic stability.
Supervise CRNAs in the delivery of anesthesia care.
Execute a wide range of regional and general anesthesia techniques including complex vascular and orthopedic procedures.
Utilize x-ray guidance for pain management blocks and manage post-operative epidural and extremity blocks.
