About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC or BE Anesthesiologist to join their team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Temple, Texas. The Anesthesiologist will practice general anesthesiology, including neuro, OB, thoracic, and regional anesthesia, but will not be involved in cardiac or pediatric cases. This position includes a teaching faculty appointment with Baylor College of Medicine, offering numerous academic opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows. The selected individual will join a large, established team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs, supported by nursing, anesthesia tech, and administrative staff, in a mixed anesthesia care team/solo staffing model. The work schedule is Monday-Friday with equally rotated weekend and evening call. The position offers approximately 1 weekday call shift per month with pre and post call days off, and 1-2 weekend call shifts (12 hours) per month with premium pay. Additional earnings are available for working after hours and weekends. Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed acute care Level I trauma center and an academic site for Baylor College of Medicine medical students. This is an employed position with a competitive salary, productivity bonus, moving allowance, a comprehensive benefits package, and no state income tax. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system.

Requirements

BC or BE Anesthesiologist
Doctorate Degree in Medicine
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification

Responsibilities

Practice general anesthesiology, to include neuro, OB, thoracic, and regional anesthesia.
Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Participate in weekday and weekend call rotations.
Work in a mixed anesthesia care team/solo staffing model.
