About The Position

DMC John Dingell VA Hospital is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to work with residents. This position offers increased compensation and covers a variety of cases including Vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, urology, ENT, general surgery, ophthalmology, GI, IR, MRI, and plastics. Cardiac and OB cases are excluded.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Michigan.
DEA license.
Experience with a variety of surgical cases.
Ability to work effectively with a team, including residents and other healthcare professionals.

Nice To Haves

Experience in academic medical centers or VA hospitals.
Experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia to patients for a variety of surgical and medical procedures.
Work with and supervise residents.
Manage patient care before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
Monitor patient vital signs and physiological status.
Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
