About The Position

Work with a dedicated and caring organization and start doing your life's best work. We are currently seeking Anesthesiologists for VA Clarksburg, GA. Pay: $200.00 per hour. Sign-on bonus: $30,000. Schedule: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week normally between the hours 7:30 am-4:00pm with a 30-minute, unpaid lunch break; must be flexible with schedule plus on call. Description of duties: Preoperative evaluation Intravenous conscious/moderate sedation Management of fluid, electrolyte and metabolic parameters Airway management, basic and complicated, including all associated devices and techniques Invasive monitoring (Pulmonary Artery Catheter, Central Venous, Arterial Lines) Local and regional anesthesia with and without sedation, including topical and infiltration, minor and major nerve blocks Management of intraoperative complications Management of PACU problems Peripheral nerve block to include major plexus block Manipulation of body temperature Manipulation of cardiovascular parameters Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including tracheal intubation, ventilation, and basic and advanced CPR monitoring Joint and bursa sac injection Trigger point injection Cervical, thoracic, lumbar and caudal blocks Differential spinal blocks Cervical, brachial and lumbar plexus blocks Stellate ganglion blocks Celiac plexus blocks Lumbar sympathetic blocks Regional blocks of the head, neck and limbs Blocks for the treatment of cephalgia

Requirements

  • MD license
  • Board Certified/Eligible
  • Fellowship training in Anesthesiology
  • DEA
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

  • Preoperative evaluation
  • Intravenous conscious/moderate sedation
  • Management of fluid, electrolyte and metabolic parameters
  • Airway management, basic and complicated, including all associated devices and techniques
  • Invasive monitoring (Pulmonary Artery Catheter, Central Venous, Arterial Lines)
  • Local and regional anesthesia with and without sedation, including topical and infiltration, minor and major nerve blocks
  • Management of intraoperative complications
  • Management of PACU problems
  • Peripheral nerve block to include major plexus block
  • Manipulation of body temperature
  • Manipulation of cardiovascular parameters
