About The Position
Riverside Peninsula Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist for their facility in Newport News, VA. This ambulatory surgery center, located on the campus of Riverside Regional Medical Center, features four operating suites equipped with the latest technology for outpatient endoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures. The center focuses on promoting patient comfort, convenience, and efficiency, leading to quicker recovery times.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Current medical licensure
- ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
