About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking an Anesthesiologist for its Department of Anesthesiology at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. The department provides anesthesia services and pain relief for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, across a wide range of surgical specialties. Clinical sites include tertiary care centers, an orthopedic-specific hospital, outpatient ambulatory centers, and obstetrics. The physician will work with surgical and procedural colleagues in an integrated healthcare system and may contribute to education, quality improvement, or administrative efforts. Fellowship training or experience in regional anesthesia, critical care, neuro-anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, or pain medicine is of particular interest. Academic appointment is available to qualified candidates through Endeavor Health’s affiliation with the Pritzker School of Medicine at The University of Chicago. Requirements
- Completion of an anesthesiology residency and a fellowship in Pain Management.
- Illinois medical license or license pending.
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship training or experience in regional anesthesia, critical care, neuro-anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, or pain medicine.
- Interest or experience in education, quality improvement, or administrative efforts.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, monitor, and supervise patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Deliver anesthesia and lead the Anesthesia Care Team to support patient safety.
- Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday call.
- Provide clinical supervision and education to house staff and medical students as assigned.
- Provide anesthesia and pain-relief care across a broad range of surgical specialties and patient ages.
