About The Position

This is a 16-week contract position for an Anesthesiologist at Alamance Anesthesia and Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. The facility specializes in high-quality anesthesia services for a variety of medical procedures, including General ENT, Eye, OB/GYN, Robotics, Ortho, Vascular, Endo, and Uro. The center is known for its commitment to patient comfort and safety, offering a range of anesthesia options tailored to individual needs. The Anesthesiologist will assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department and will be responsible for the medical management of patients undergoing procedures. This includes pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. The position offers 8-hour shifts with no call, and there is a $10K Completion Bonus available (added 7/2/25).

Requirements

Current license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology.
Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of two years of recent experience.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
