About The Position

The Anesthesiologist assists in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department. Provide medical management for patients undergoing unconsciousness or insensibility to pain and emotional stress during medical procedures. Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients. Administer induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. The Anesthesiologist monitors patients' physiological condition throughout procedures. Perform necessary clinical interventions as required. Deliver clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre- and post-operation. Monitor patients during surgery and in various care units such as ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management. Review medical files and laboratory results. The Anesthesiologist informs patients about the risks associated with anesthesia.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience.
  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
  • Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia as per ECFMC and FLEX requirements.
  • Current licensure as a Physician and possess of a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
