About The Position

Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ is bringing its Anesthesia service line in-house and seeking dedicated General and Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join a premier practice built on clinical excellence, strong support, and real work-life balance. The hospital is a faith-based non-profit, 478-bed acute care teaching hospital with a high-acuity, high-volume surgical and obstetric program, performing over 5,500 deliveries annually. The case mix includes adult/pediatric neurosurgery, orthopedic, vascular, bariatric, minimally invasive, gynecologic/breast, and pediatric/neonatal surgery. The hospital has received numerous awards, including 7 consecutive Magnet Recognition with Distinction®, an 'A' Leapfrog Safety Grade, and recognition as one of America's Best Maternity Hospitals 2026. Requirements

Completion of ACGME/AOA-accredited Anesthesiology Residency
Board certified/eligible in Anesthesiology
MD/DO license in NJ
DEA and CDS license
Must qualify for Saint Peter's liability insurance
Current ACLS and PALS certifications

Nice To Haves

Experience in pediatric anesthesia
Experience in obstetric anesthesia

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services for surgical and obstetric procedures.
Collaborate with OB, surgical, and pediatric anesthesia teams.
Participate in call rotations.
Potentially take on leadership roles such as OB and Pediatric Anesthesia Directorship.
