About The Position
Riverside Hampton Surgery Center is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a full-time opening in Hampton, VA. This center is a member of Riverside Health System and offers surgeons an ambulatory surgery location for a variety of procedures including orthopedics, gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, ophthalmology, podiatry, and general surgery. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care, performing pre-anesthesia evaluations, developing anesthetic plans, managing anesthesia during procedures, monitoring patients, and supporting departmental coordination.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Current medical licensure
- ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
