About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician works in the Anesthesia Department in Glenview, Illinois, under the direction of a supervisor. The role assists with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures and supports anesthesia equipment and supply readiness. This is a 40-hour-per-week position scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Endeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system serving more than 4.2 million residents across six northeastern Illinois counties. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with one year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Emergency Medical Technician; alternatively, an associate degree is accepted if the candidate has no clinical experience.
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Ability to occasionally lift patients and equipment and to push and/or pull heavy objects.

Responsibilities

Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures under the direction of a supervisor.
Set up supplies and equipment before procedures and turn over rooms afterward.
Audit, stock, and maintain anesthesia supply stations.
Calibrate point-of-care (POC) equipment.
Perform and document high-level sterilization procedures.
Provide basic equipment troubleshooting.
Order supplies through the Lawson Material Management System.
