About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician Assistant is an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team and works under the direction of the Anesthesia Manager or designee. The role supports licensed anesthesia providers during routine surgical cases by assisting with the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and supplies before, during, and after anesthesia.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist with anesthesia case setup.
Assist Anesthesia Technicians in setting up equipment and supplies according to case type and patient age, consulting them about specific setup needs as necessary or requested in all anesthesia locations.
Clean, stock, and maintain routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Under the supervision of an Anesthesia Technician, clean anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment after each case to meet target times.
Stock anesthesia supplies before, during, and after cases.
Assist Anesthesia Technicians as requested, provided the work is within scope of practice.
Coordinate with the anesthesia team to ensure supplies are stocked and available efficiently and effectively.
Perform other duties as needed.
