About The Position
As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help procedures go safely and smoothly. You will help keep equipment ready, support patient care, and contribute to a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey. The role includes preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting patients with transfers and preparation, applying non-invasive monitoring devices, responding to emergencies, and following infection prevention and safety practices. You will communicate with patients, families, and colleagues while protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- No travel required.
Responsibilities
- Review surgery schedules and prepare and organize the anesthesia equipment and supplies the team will need.
- Set up, transport, and maintain anesthesia carts and equipment, keeping supplies clean and ready for safe use.
- Assist patients with transfers, positioning, and preparation, and apply non-invasive monitoring devices.
- Respond quickly and confidently to emergencies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection prevention and safety practices.
- Communicate with patients, families, and the care team, protect patient privacy, and advocate for patient rights.
