About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician ensures anesthesia supplies and equipment are readily available for procedures and that equipment is clean and functioning properly. The technician assists anesthesia personnel as needed and participates in process improvement, professional education, committees, and meetings to maintain competence and advance Good Samaritan Medical Center’s mission and values. The role also includes miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of clinical experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms daily with anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Maintain specialty carts and inventory.
• Clean used equipment carts and machines as necessary.
• Assist CRNAs and anesthesiologists when needed.
• Implement and maintain compliance in the Anesthesia Department, unit, or division.
• Participate in process improvement, professional education, committees, and meetings.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
