About The Position
The Anesthesia Technician prepares and maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies for safe patient use during anesthetic procedures. Duties include stocking anesthesia carts, rooms, and equipment; cleaning and sterilizing equipment; and checking equipment for malfunctions. The technician communicates with and assists Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and Managers.
Requirements
- High school diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or completion of a CHS-approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate.
- Six months of Anesthesia Technician or similar experience, or graduation from an Anesthesia Technician training program.
- Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and supplies, various modalities, treatments, and medications.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from an Anesthesia Technician training program.
- Certified Anesthesia Technician or Anesthesia Technologist.
