About The Position
The Anesthesia Technician facilitates perioperative patient care by assisting with clinical anesthesia activities under the direction and collaboration of the Registered Nurse and Anesthesiologist. The role provides supplies, equipment, and assistance during anesthetic procedures to support safe delivery of anesthetic patient care. Activities include performing preoperative FDA anesthesia machine checkouts, troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, starting patient intravenous lines, and operating the intraoperative autologous blood recovery system and the three-dimensional image-guidance system.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Courses in anatomy/physiology and basic chemistry at college level preferred.
- Graduate of an Anesthesia Tech training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- One year of Operating room experience preferred.
