About The Position

The Anesthesia Tech supports anesthesia care through familiarity with anesthesia equipment, basic troubleshooting, pharmaceutical knowledge, aseptic techniques, and the sterilization and disinfection of supplies and equipment. The role requires basic computer skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a self-directed manner. An associate’s degree in Anesthesia Technology, an accredited anesthesia machine training program completed within six months of hire, or a combination of relevant experience and on-the-job training is required. Certification and one year of experience as an anesthesia technician are preferred. This is a part-time position with rotating shifts. Pay range: $27.47–$38.45.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• An Associate’s degree in Anesthesia Technology, or completion of an accredited anesthesia machine training program within six months of hire, or at least two years of combined relevant experience and on-the-job training.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card.
• Familiarity with basic anesthesia machine troubleshooting, basic pharmaceutical knowledge, aseptic techniques, and sterilization and disinfection of supplies and equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as an anesthesia technician and one year of experience as an anesthesia technician.
• Knowledge of human anatomy, airway anatomy, and medical terminology.
