About The Position

The Anesthesia Tech III demonstrates a clear understanding of aseptic techniques through clinical practice and has working knowledge of the specialized equipment and supplies used by Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologists (CRNAs). The role supports perioperative anesthesia services by maintaining supplies and equipment, preparing invasive monitoring lines, assisting during emergencies, and communicating with anesthesia and perioperative nursing staff.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Maintain current ACLS certification.
2–3 years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech.

Responsibilities

Restock anesthesia supplies, equipment, and drugs in the operating room after each case.
Maintain adequate inventory levels of anesthesia supplies in departmental service areas and order supplies.
Clean and maintain equipment used in the delivery of anesthetic services.
Set up invasive monitoring lines as requested by anesthesia.
Respond to and assist the Anesthesiologist/CRNA with perioperative anesthesia emergencies.
Demonstrate competency in tasks and skills defined by the Surgical Services specific competency list.
Communicate appropriate information to the Anesthesiologist/CRNA and perioperative nursing staff.
Transport and deliver items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility, excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy drugs.
Maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable standards.
Comply with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Perform other related functions involving cell saver, Belmont, trauma, CVOR, and advanced equipment troubleshooting, such as ultrasound, Belmont, and Hemisphere.
