About The Position

Provides skilled assistance to anesthesiology providers during surgical and special procedures. The role includes preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting with line placements and specialized procedures, processing specimens, performing EKGs, and ensuring equipment is calibrated and ready for patient care. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience; the posting lists this under minimum requirements.
• No supervisor experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Anesthesia Technician certification.
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification.
• CPR/AED certification.
• 2–5 years of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IVs and central lines and set up transducers.
• Assist with rapid infusion of blood products, process blood specimens, and complete EKG tests.
• Set up, prime, and calibrate equipment and complete and document equipment quality checks.
• Assist with special procedures, including line placement, fiber optic intubation, hemodilutions, echocardiograms, EEGs, and regional anesthesia.
• Prepare equipment and supplies and provide medications for use by anesthesiologists.
