About The Position

BRMi is seeking a Mobile Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise mobile banking applications across iOS and/or Android platforms. This role will work within a cross-functional Agile team to deliver secure, reliable, high-performing, and user-friendly mobile experiences. The ideal candidate will have hands-on native mobile development experience with Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android, along with experience integrating APIs, troubleshooting production applications, and working within Agile development environments. Hybrid in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA In person interviews will be required for this role

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Professional experience developing native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
• Strong experience with at least one of the following technology stacks: iOS: Swift, Objective-C, Xcode Android: Kotlin, Java, Android Studio
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production mobile applications.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services into mobile applications.
• Experience working with third-party mobile libraries, SDKs, and frameworks.
• Understanding of native mobile application architecture and development best practices.
• Experience with source control, peer code reviews, debugging, and automated testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile software development teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience developing mobile applications within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile build and deployment processes.
• Experience with mobile accessibility standards and accessible application development.
• Experience with mobile application performance monitoring and optimization.

• Knowledge of mobile application security and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile application features for iOS and/or Android platforms.
• Develop native mobile applications using Swift/Objective-C and Xcode or Kotlin/Java and Android Studio.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and stability.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries.
• Collaborate with mobile developers, backend engineers, designers, analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Write and maintain unit tests and UI/automated tests to support application quality.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Ensure solutions follow platform-specific development, security, accessibility, and performance standards.
• Contribute to reusable mobile components, libraries, and development frameworks.
• Stay current with iOS/Android operating system changes, mobile development trends, and emerging technologies.
• Support CI/CD and automated mobile application build and deployment processes.
• Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, as appropriate for experience level.
• Contribute to broader mobile platform initiatives, architecture, and technical strategy at senior levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned
