Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin; strong knowledge of Java
  • Hands-on experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or MVI patterns
  • Experience implementing biometric authentication, encryption, certificate pinning, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect
  • Proficiency with JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, Robolectric
  • Experience setting up automated build and deployment pipelines
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data (WebSockets)
  • Experience with Google Play Console, app signing, staged rollouts, and release management
  • Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience building mobile applications in the financial services, wealth management, or brokerage industry
  • Familiarity with financial data standards (FIX protocol, market data feeds)
  • Experience with cross-platform parity projects (replicating iOS apps on Android or vice versa)
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for financial mobile apps (SOC 2, data privacy regulations)
  • Experience with analytics and crash reporting tools (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Datadog)
  • Familiarity with design systems and maintaining consistency across platforms
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing tools and practices
