About The Position
Adidev Technologies is an IT consulting firm providing iOS and Android development services to major companies and other clients. The company describes itself as a people development firm that mentors and trains developers and places them on client projects. The Android Developer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale client applications. The work is onsite, with no telecommuting or remote positions. Candidates must be willing to relocate to new cities or states for client assignments, typically lasting 6 to 18 months, with possible extensions. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and may be offered as W2 employment or a 1099 contract. Compensation is described as competitive and dependent on experience.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of experience as an Android developer.
- Strong understanding of MVC or MVVM software architectural patterns.
- At least one year of experience with Java and Kotlin.
- At least one application published on the Play Store.
- Familiarity with the Android SDK, Android versions, and adapting to different screen sizes.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Espresso and JUnit.
- Knowledge of mobile data storage using SQLite and Room.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for back-end integration.
- Comfort with Git, SVN, and source control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and self-leadership skills.
- Willingness to relocate for client assignments lasting typically 6 to 18 months, with possible extensions.
